Welcome to River Oaks Church!
We're so glad you're here! Thanks for taking some time to explore our website. We are a community of ordinary people being transformed by the extraordinary love of Jesus Christ. We'd love to have you to join us on a Sunday morning for our time of worship together.
What time are services?
Service Times--9:00 & 11:00am in main room
R.O.C.K. (Children's Church) available during 11:00 service
Sunday School-10:15 am in main room (children's Sunday School also available)
What if I'm not used to coming to church?
That's great! We'd love to have you join us. We hope you'll come as you are with your questions, your past hurts, your doubts, and your curiosity. The Church is a hospital for sinners, not a museum of saints. It is for the broken and weary, the disillusioned and depressed. It is for those who know they need not just information, but real transformation. We want to be a safe place for you to ask honest questions, develop authentic caring relationships, and meet Jesus Christ.
What about kids?
We are a family-friendly church, and we love kids! We offer outstanding nursery, Sunday School, and Children's Church classes geared to teach kids about Jesus in a creative and engaging way. Learn more about our Children's Ministry here!
What's the music like?
A main element of our corporate worship involves passionately worshiping God with joy, reverence, and awe through song. We draw from a variety of sources with rich lyrical and musical content, including contemporary praise music, traditional hymns, modern hymns, psalms, and even songs written by our own musicians! Our song selection--and in fact, our entire service--is shaped by the Gospel. Learn more about our Gospel-shaped service here.
What's the preaching like?
Receiving God's Word is the central element of our worship life. Just as our bodies need food for physical health, so our souls need the consistent nourishment of God's Word to strengthen, encourage, and equip us to live faithfully in a broken world. At River Oaks, you'll find clear, compelling, Christ-centered, expositional teaching of God's Word. Listen to a sermon here.
How else can I get connected?
One way to start getting connected at River Oaks is to arrive a bit early and meet people in our congregation before the service starts. Enjoy some casual conversation and our delicious fair trade coffee in the foyer.
Another way to get connected is to visit a Community Group. Our Community Groups are based by location, so there's probably a group that meets near you! Check out more about Community Groups here.
